About the Role

We're looking for a Production Manager to run and scale manufacturing at our Oakville facility. This is a hands-on leadership role on a small, growing team: you run the floor today — production, assembly, and test — and build the systems, standards, and people that let us grow without giving up the quality and precision our customers depend on.

You'll hold the operation to the standard expected of a leading energy-equipment manufacturer, and you'll own the numbers that prove it.

Role Overview

You'll own day-to-day manufacturing operations and their performance — safety, quality, delivery, and cost — lead and develop the production team, drive continuous improvement, and partner with engineering to take products cleanly from prototype to production.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations & Performance

- Own day-to-day manufacturing operations — production, assembly, test, and shipping — and the safety, quality, delivery,



and cost metrics that go with them.
- Plan production schedules, capacity, and resources against demand, and keep on-time delivery on target.
- Run the floor through Kanban, track builds and orders in our custom internal ERP, and report performance in Microsoft 365.
- Identify and remove bottlenecks, balancing throughput against a high quality standard.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

- Hold the plant to a high quality and precision standard: first-pass yield, defect reduction, and disciplined process control.
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to remove waste and raise productivity.
- Build and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard work as volume grows.

Team, Process & Integration

- Lead, hire, and develop the production team, and set the standard for safety, quality, and accountability on the floor.
- Partner with engineering on design-for-manufacturing and recent product introduction (NPI).
- Work with supply chain to keep material flowing and with health & safety to keep the plant protected and compliant.

Qualifications Required

- 5 years in manufacturing leadership (production, operations, or plant management).




- A track record of scaling production while holding a high quality bar — measurable gains in yield, delivery, or productivity.
- Working knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement, quality systems, and operational KPIs.
- A hands-on, floor-present leadership style — you build process and culture, not just run a shift.
- Comfort with Kanban, custom ERP systems, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong self-management and the ability to work independently to timelines.

Preferred

- Electromechanical or electronics/power-hardware manufacturing experience.
- Experience introducing new products (NPI) and transitioning from prototype to production.
- Experience building manufacturing processes and standard work in a growing or startup manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant product standards (CSA/UL, IEC).
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience in a high-reliability manufacturing environment (energy, industrial, automotive, aerospace).

Pay: $65,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
