Position Summary The Production Operator completes electronic, mechanical and software related production processes on components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. The incumbent will also determine and/or follow best practice methods and sequence of operations in performing these processes on live product.
Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Assemble electronic components in the most efficient way
- Perform material handling of products
- Regular use and maintenance of all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this includes daily testing as required by policy and reporting to your supervisor any damage or equipment failures
- Participate in daily team meetings and offer ideas/suggestions that contribute to meeting the performance objectives
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety
Position Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of previous manufacturing assembly and test experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with high sense of urgency. Flexibility to cross train within different areas of production
- Intermediate computer skills (working knowledge of excel and word documents; can edit Work Instructions)
- Ability to lift 35lbs of weight safely
- Effective communication skills
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
