BaseVac Dental Systems is Canada's only manufacturer of licensed vacuum and compressor equipment. Our products are used by dental practices of all sizes, including 1-chair neighbourhood clinics and 100+ chair teaching clinics at Harvard, U of T, UBC, and many others.

We are hiring a BaseVac Production Supervisor & Quality Lead to support our technical team as we continue to grow.

Position Summary The BaseVac Production Team Lead leads and manages our production team to meet our production, quality, and safety objectives on a day-to-day basis.

This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of quality management or manufacturing experience who is detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working directly with physical products and structured procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily production operations:

· Plan and schedule production runs in coordination with the Technical Manager / Director, ensuring all required input parts and resources are available.

· Lead the team to prepare for production runs by staging parts, organizing tools, and preparing the workspace.

· Supervise the assembly and testing of BaseVac products to ensure quality and adherence to established SOPs, assembly instructions, safety procedures and ISO procedures.

· Provide daily verbal and written production performance updates to the Technical Manager / Director.

· Coordinate with the shipping teams to align completed units with customer orders and delivery timelines.

· Lead the preparation of products for shipment, including cleaning, paint touch-ups, packing, and labelling.

· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace by ensuring the production area is properly cleaned and maintained before and after production runs.





· Support the Technical Manager / Director with other relevant production and mechanical duties as assigned.

Oversee and support the production team:

· Lead and support production technicians during daily operations.

· Provide guidance and on-the-job training to ensure team members follow correct procedures and maintain high-quality standards.

· Monitor team performance, identify issues, and provide feedback to improve productivity and quality.

· Encourage a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Support quality management:

· Ensure quality processes and inspection procedures are followed during all stages of assembly.

· Perform final checks to confirm that products meet design and performance standards.

· Identify and report non-conformities to the Technical Manager / Director and assist in implementing corrective actions.

· Support the company’s commitment to ISO standards and electrical code compliance.

Coordinate materials and supplies:

· Monitor supply inventory levels and coordinate with the Technical Manager / Director or Materials Manager to restock materials as needed.

· Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records in Spire inventory management software.

· Ensure required materials for upcoming production runs are prepared and available on time.





Support technical and service activities:

· Assist with product testing and quality assurance when required.

Participate in continuous improvement:

· Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Required Qualifications

- 3-5 years working in a manufacturing and/or quality management role.
- Diploma or certificate in a technical, manufacturing, or quality‑related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems, including Six Sigma.
- Past experience in a manufacturing or quality-related role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic systems for data entry and documentation.
