CONTEXT The École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP), the world’s only French-language university specializing in public administration, is a leading institution in public administration research and education, dedicated to the renewal of public administrations in Quebec and beyond.

ENAP is seeking candidates to fill a tenured faculty position specializing in the career development of managers.

Candidates must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of issues related to the professional development of managers, leadership development, and learning and skills development in organizational settings, with a focus on the specific characteristics of the public sector.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate leadership in these areas of expertise. They must have an excellent track record in teaching, research, and professional practice. They must be able to convey their knowledge with passion and commitment, and to supervise and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in an interdisciplinary and diverse intellectual and social environment. The successful candidate will conduct innovative research and must be able to submit grant proposals.

Candidates must be able to teach the following course (in French):

- Management Skills and Career Development (ENP7202)

Advantage: Ability to teach one or more of the following courses (in French):
- Leadership Skills (ENP7220)
- Transformational Leadership in the Public Sector (ENP8048)





Competency- and Talent-Based Management (ENP7883)

REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must

- Hold a Ph.D. (or be on track to obtain one) in a field relevant to the discipline (e.g., clinical sociology; sociology or psychology of work and organizations; career counseling; organizational behavior; management; leadership; or another field with a relevant dissertation);
- Have experience in university teaching;
- Have clinical experience or experience in career counseling;
- Demonstrate the ability to teach a diverse student body;
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the roles and competencies expected of managers in public administration;
- Demonstrate research capabilities, as evidenced in particular by peer-reviewed publications.

In accordance with the requirements of the Canadian Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, this position is open primarily to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

- A cover letter specifically demonstrating the candidate’s ability to fulfill the responsibilities and meet the qualifications listed above;

- At least two letters of recommendation sent directly by the recommenders;




- Up to three significant publications in academic journals related to a relevant field (clinical sociology; sociology or psychology of work and organizations; career counseling; organizational behavior; leadership or management) within the last 5 years;
- Documents related to one or more courses taught (syllabus and teaching evaluations);
- Links to Google Scholar, ResearchGate, or other profiles (if applicable).
