We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team! This job posting is to fill a recent position.
The Program
Manager is responsible to lead divisional stakeholders in the launch of major new programs for our OEM customers. The following describes some of the key roles and responsibilities of this challenging and impactful role: Drive the organization to meet and exceed customer expectations for quality, delivery and product performance – achieve “flawless launch”
- Ensure the financial success of the program. Identify concerns that jeopardize profitability and seek opportunities for improvement in margins and returns
- Utilize leadership skills to motivate the APQP product launch teams which are comprised of members from cross functional departments including: Sales, Product Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supplier Development, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Process Engineering
- Elevate issues as appropriate and garner the support of senior management to clear obstacles beyond the scope of the launch team
- Employ the tools of Rhythm Automotives Global Product Introduction Methodology (GDPIM)
to provide the path to success. Schedule and lead the milestone gate reviews to communicate and document status, risks, opportunities and issues to senior management
- Develop project schedules using MS Project and ensure adherence and serve as the lead facilitator in communicating with our customers within the scope of overall project status. Ensure customer requirements including but not limited to project timing, the selection of special characteristics, development of FMEAs, setting of quality objectives, training, corrective and preventive actions and product development are effectively being addressed and communicated; and Work on specific projects as directed from time to time in support of the Manager of Program Management;
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or Technology Diploma in an applicable Engineering discipline combined with a minimum of three (3) years of project related experience in the design, development and manufacture of safety critical automotive components. Excellent organizational and leadership experience combined with the ability to plan projects and communicate across all disciplines, internal and external. Strong financial acumen as well as working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project is required.
This role will require some local travel with the potential for international travel, depending on the projects assigned.
Rhythm Automotive offers an excellent working environment, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits package. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000.
*The final salary is based on experience, internal equity, and budget considerations within the target hiring range.
