Psychologist- Temporary (1 position) The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications for Temporary - Psychologist ( 1 full-time position) within the Special Education Department. This is a temporary, unionized (O.S.S.T.F. P.S.S.P.), up to 35 hours per week assignment with start date as TBD, up to and including June 30, 2027.

Job Summary: LOCATION: Various school locations POSITION: Psychologist - Temporary (1 position) FTE : 1.0 (35 hours per week) RATE OF PAY: In accordance with Article 11 of the current Collective Agreement, the annual salary for this position is $88,657 (minimum) to $107,628 (maximum).

START DATE: To be decided HOURS OF WORK : Schedules are flexible and part time hours are available within the hours of 8:00am- 4:30pm.

Nature & Scope of Position: The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Supervisor of Psychological Services.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

- Providing psychological assessments (intellectual, behavioural, socio-emotional) and subsequent reports for pupils referred for Special Education programming.
- Providing consultation for staff of the behavioural programs and direct services to referred students. Involvement with parents/guardians to occur as dictated by the needs of the child.
- Provision of service and support to students involved in crisis situations both individually and as part of the school-based team.
- Consultation with educators, support staff and parents on programming needs for referred and non-referred students.
- Organizing and/or conducting appropriate professional development programs and in-service training activities for regular classroom staff,



special education teachers, principals, administrators, and parents.
- Acting as liaison with external agencies involved in supplying psychological services to the Greater Essex County District School Board.
- Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.
- Performing such duties and responsibilities pertaining to Special Education programs and services as may be assigned from time to time by the Superintendent of Education/Special Education Services or Supervisor of Psychological Services.
- Conduct Threat Risk Assessments and be involved in the development of behaviour and safety plans, as need be.

Qualifications

- A Ph.D. or equivalent in Clinical or School Psychology from an accredited University.
- Must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Experience within a clinical/educational setting specializing in assessment and intervention with children/youth.
- Familiarity with Ministry of Education I.P.R.C. (Identification, Placement and Review Committee) procedures are desirable.
