Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Punjabi Speaking Health Care Aide to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, empathetic, and eager to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving hospice or home care. Fluency in Punjabi is essential to effectively communicate and build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will help promote independence, comfort, and dignity for those under your care.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ well-being
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a secure environment
- Assist with mobility and transfer activities that may involve heavy lifting or physical exertion




- Document care activities accurately and communicate any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare team

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a health care aide, preferably in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings
- Strong background in patient care, senior care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to communicate fluently in Punjabi; proficiency in English is also required
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills and attention to detail
- Certification in caregiving or relevant health care training is preferred but not mandatory
