About the Opportunity

Are you interested in F&B; innovation? Blue Ocean Tea is seeking a detail-oriented QA Intern to support the development and improvement of its quality-management systems.

This four-month internship offers practical experience in document control, supplier management, product specifications, environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance within the food and nutritional-supplement manufacturing industry.

As a QA intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to essential quality-assurance processes while contributing to projects that improve regulatory alignment, operational effectiveness, and greater innovation in F&B; research and development.

What you’ll do

As a QA Intern, you will:

● Develop and align Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with applicable food and nutritional-supplement regulatory requirements

● Prepare corresponding Work Instructions that clearly support operational activities

● Review, organize, and standardize SOPs across both company locations to improve document control, consistency, and accessibility

● Develop and enhance Supplier Risk Assessment, Supplier Performance Evaluation, and Supplier Documentation Management processes

● Conduct a comprehensive review of existing forms, templates, and records

● Improve quality documents to support accuracy, usability, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness

● Develop and implement Product and Material Specifications

● Prepare Summary Specifications for Operations to support manufacturing and quality activities

● Review and enhance the Environmental Monitoring Program

● Help establish risk-based environmental monitoring schedules and testing frequencies for designated environmental zones

● Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and other internal teams on process-improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

This role is perfect for you if:

● You are a current or recently completed studies in food science, nutrition, biology, chemistry, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline





● You have an interest in food manufacturing, nutritional supplements, food safety, and regulatory compliance

● You show strong written communication and technical-documentation skills

● You display excellent attention to detail and organizational ability

● You possess the ability to review complex information and present it in a clear, consistent format

● You have solid research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

● You display the ability to manage multiple documents and assignments while meeting deadlines

● You are proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

● You can work both independently and collaboratively

● Previous experience with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, supplier-quality programs, document control, or environmental monitoring is considered an asset.

Compensation In compliance with the BC Pay Transparency Act, the compensation has been provided below:

$21 CAD per hour
