Overview

We are seeking a motivated Railing/Structural Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing structural components and railings with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, high-quality metal structures that meet client specifications and safety standards.

We are looking for an individual with welding and fabrication experience working in a custom welding shop and experienced in structural steel fabrication and erection.

Must show satisfactory welding skills in MIG and SMAW. Willing to work toward becoming CWB certified.

Ability to operate all weld related equipment and to follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to work independently and adapt to an ever changing pace.

Most work is in shop with some mobile services provided.

Transportation is required.

This job location is 10 minutes south of Parry Sound by HWY 141.

The pay rate is dependent on experience and ability.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements




- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools to shape metal components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG, TIG), and calipers for precise fabrication and assembly
- Cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal parts according to specifications using appropriate welding techniques
- Conduct rigging and crane operations safely during the handling of heavy materials or assemblies
- Perform quality checks on fabricated components using basic math skills and measuring tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times

Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Robust mechanical knowledge with experience in welding (MIG and TIG), plasma cutting, and machining processes
- Ability to operate rigging equipment, cranes, forklifts, and press brake machines safely
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement device
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes
- Familiarity with schematics for structural components and assembly instructions

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
