Our client is seeking an experienced Ready-Mix Concrete Operations SME / Consultant.

The role will provide practical guidance across the ready-mix operating lifecycle. The consultant will also help identify gaps between processes and technology platforms and provide recommendations to ensure an effective, integrated operating model.

Qualifications

- Significant hands-on experience in ready-mix concrete operations
- Deep understanding of end-to-end ready-mix workflows, including order management, batching, production, dispatch, delivery, ticketing, and quality control
- Robust knowledge of costing, margin management, financial controls, and operational reporting
- Experience with ready-mix ERP, dispatch, batching, ticketing, or other operational technology systems
- Experience translating operational requirements into practical system and workflow designs
- Ability to evaluate processes across multiple technology platforms and identify integration, workflow, or control gaps
- Experience establishing operational KPIs and management reporting
- Ability to provide practical recommendations grounded in direct industry experience
- Experience supporting major operational, process, or technology implementations strongly preferred

Ideal Candidate





- Senior ready-mix operator or industry expert with substantial direct ready-mix concrete experience
- Background in roles such as Ready-Mix Operations Leader, General Manager, Regional/Area Manager, Plant Operations Leader, Operational Excellence Leader, Systems SME, or Concrete Operations Consultant
- Experience personally managing, designing, improving, or transforming ready-mix operations
- Deep understanding of the complete operating lifecycle, from order intake through batching, dispatch, delivery, quality management, billing, and profitability
- Experience evaluating operational processes and technology from an experienced operator's perspective
- Comfortable identifying potential workflow, system, and financial-control gaps and recommending practical solutions
- Experience supporting operational or technology implementations within the ready-mix industry
- Comfortable working in both hands-on and advisory capacities as an engagement progresses

Start: ASAP

Duration: ~5–7 months

Time commitment: Higher commitment during the first 2–3 months; lighter advisory support for the following 3–4 months

Location: Primarily remote; potential travel as needed

Rate: ~$150–$175 USD/hour
