Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality massage therapy treatments tailored to each client’s individual needs, including therapeutic, relaxation, and injury rehabilitation techniques
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ health history and current conditions to develop effective treatment plans
- Maintain explicit and professional communication with clients before, during, and after sessions to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary
- Keep accurate records of treatments provided, client progress,
and any relevant medical information in compliance with regulatory standards
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Massage Therapist or similar role in a clinical or wellness setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health assessments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients
- Excellent communication skills for explaining treatment procedures clearly and empathetically
- Certification from a recognized massage therapy program and valid registration/license as required by local regulatory authorities
- Prior experience working with clients managing chronic pain, sports injuries, or stress-related conditions is advantageous
