Role Details

When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. It takes all of us to take on cancer. Volunteer with us at one of our signature events in your community on event day. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability. You can also assist us when we need event support on an on-call basis in your own community.

Description The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.

This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.

Tasks for this role include:

- Must be 19+
- Should be able to lift at least 10 lbs- some lifting of t-shirt boxes required
- Welcoming participants picking up t-shirts on Run Day
- Distribute t-shirts by colour and size
- Answer questions about Run Day with a friendly attitude
- Provide warm, detail-oriented customer service
