Your Mission
The Manager, Reliability Engineering Services is responsible for providing support, supervision and leadership to the reliability field services division. Responsible for providing communication between the company, client, and employees. The Reliability Manager plans, schedules and coordinates all reliability services in accordance to customer requirements. Also, the RSM prepares or approves the necessary reports and audits for the client and acts as the liaison for additional technical expertise. The Reliability Manager will be accountable for the overall safety of the work environment for the crew, including ensuring compliance with Benchmark Reliability Services, Inc., client, OH&S; , and other applicable standards. Performs and oversees specific projects and programs as assigned.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Saskatoon Headquarters):
All Reliability Job Duties
- Ability to communicate the Acoem Canada message to the client and to the employees under your direct supervision.
- Ability to conduct Reliability Awareness Sessions to team members.
- Ability to submit documented case studies for customer/employee newsletters.
- Development of Individual Training plans for each employee under direct supervision.
- Oversee all quality of data,
technical reporting and deliverable recommendations.
Coordination/Scheduling
- Generation of Site Schedule for employees given client requirements.
- Accountable for schedule compliance and route adherence of all reliability employees.
- Coordination of any outside Benchmark Reliability Services, Inc. Services’ resources that are not permanently assigned to the program.
Auditing/Metrics/Reporting
- Accountable to ensure that all databases are in compliance with current standards.
- Accountable for Nuisance Alarm Management.
- Accountable for Management of Change Process Adherence.
- Asset Health Management.
- Accountable for the accuracy and the timeliness of all internal and external communications and reporting. office administrator to reconcile monthly project timesheets and invoice accordingly
Technology Application/RCFA
- Accountable for ensuring that the right technologies are being applied to the right assets at the right frequencies.
- Continuously reviewing assigned tasks and investigating any unexpected failures with the client and employee.
- Identifying changing resource needs and driving program efficiencies, including sub-contractor support. records, such as tracking vacation and sick leave, and manage payroll processing.
Safety/Personnel
- Accountable for the overall safety of the crew, representing world-class safety mentality.
- Ensure compliance with Benchmark Reliability Services, Inc., client, OH&S; , and other applicable standards.
- Perform Behavioral Safety Observations through Field Level Hazard Assessments
- Resource Allocation.
- Hiring, Performance Reviews, and Discipline.
- Ensures the integrity of company reporting systems.
- Interfaces with accounting personnel to coordinate activities including the verification of billings, expense reports and periodic reporting as required.
- Strategize with staff to develop a culture that embraces safety, recognizes hazards, and takes action to minimize risk. ensuring that the right technologies are being applied to the right assets at the right frequencies.
Training/Mentoring
- Accountable for training/mentoring of the crew.
- Able to convey and obtain knowledge from seminar/training sessions to crew.
- Accountable for mentoring of personnel looking for advancement in the company.
Quality
- Ensure compliance with company specific procedures, project supervision and peer review.
- Ensure we provide our clients with quality data and services in a timely manner.
General Management
- Approve all timesheets prior to submission for accuracy.
- Monitor equipment for calibration,
OEM repair or replacement recommendations.
- Build client relationships based on the provision of exceptional service and ethical business practices.
- Act as a main liaison with the client and promote recent business opportunities.

Qualifications, skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical technology or equivalent experience.
- Minimum level 1 technology certifications in multiple supportive predictive technology types, knowledge of RCA, RCM, Reliability Best Practices.
- Preferably actively certified in ISO Category 3 vibration analysis.
- Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, switchgear, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals, as well as predictive and preventative maintenance tools.
- 7-10 years general supervision or management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage people in a service industry.
- Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.
- Working knowledge of other all condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis, ultrasonics, and vibration analysis.
- Understanding of the NDE Industry, industrial environment, or client business an asset.
- Strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database tools.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent English competency is required in this region.
- Must have Canadian residency.
