Make a difference as a Remote Indigenous Peoples' Court Caseworker with the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre. Facilitate healing and justice for Indigenous clients through effective case management. This full-time role involves managing cases and guiding Indigenous clients in following the court's healing recommendations.
You'll provide direct services and referrals within the community, ensuring timely access to essential programs. Your expertise will support clients navigating the judicial system and also engage with various local initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case and file management for Indigenous clients
- Assist in implementing healing recommendations from the court
- Make referrals to community programs and services
- Foster trust and rapport with clients during consultations
- Maintain confidentiality and manage files effectively Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years in social or justice services setting
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and judicial systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management
- Excellent crisis intervention and communication skills
