Job#: 3051276 : Reporting Associate 6 month contract- potential for extension Hybrid Toronto Overview Our Financial Services client is seeking a Reporting Associate to support reporting operations, analytics, process improvement, and business reporting initiatives. This role will be heavily focused on Excel-based reporting with opportunities to expand reporting capabilities using Power BI.
- Core skills required: Excel (most key), Macros, Power BI, and Power Apps. Other qualifications are secondary to these core competencies.
- Working with Excel spreadsheets and building macros. Much of the current work is spreadsheet-based tracking.
- The team's next step is to transition more of their reporting into Power BI. Strong Power BI skills would be a significant advantage in this role. Someone who can build Power BI demonstrations and identify efficiency opportunities would provide immediate value, as the team is still developing its Power BI capabilities.
- This role is less project-focused and more centered on generating efficiencies in reporting processes and developing new spreadsheet-style reporting solutions.
- Maintain the Power Apps and Power Automations - foundational knowledge and experience in these tools is required.
- Strong communication and business-facing skills are essential, both for presenting findings and gathering requirements. Presentations are typically delivered within the team or Senior Leadership.
- Banking or financial services experience is a nice-to-have, with AML/KYC experience being particularly desirable.
- Looking for approximately 5 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain business reports and dashboards.
- Analyze large datasets and provide business insights.
- Create and maintain spreadsheet-based reporting solutions.
- Support automation initiatives using Power Platform tools.
- Gather business requirements and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support ongoing reporting process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Reporting and analytics experience.
- Power BI experience.
- Strong business communication abilities.
- Experience working with large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Macros/VBA.
- Power Apps.
- Power Automate.
- Banking or Financial Services experience.
- AML/KYC exposure.
