This full-time position focuses on trauma-informed care and individual development in a supportive residential setting. Serve as a key worker for youth at the licensed Youth Horizons facility in Saanich, helping those aged 13-18 with moderate to severe behavioral challenges.
Utilize your skills in assessment, individualized care planning, and relationship-building to foster personal growth. Create a secure and engaging atmosphere while ensuring safety and wellbeing through daily routines and emotional support. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and set goals for individuals served
- Implement personalized service plans and care strategies
- Monitor safety and provide daily support
- Administer medications and manage personal hygiene tasks
- Advocate effectively for persons served Requirements:
- Child and Youth Care Degree or related field
- Minimum two years related experience in child and youth care
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Prior experience with trauma-informed practices
