Join The Salvation Army as a Residential Counsellor supporting adults with developmental disabilities. You will lead individualized programs, promoting independence and quality of life in a supportive setting. This role requires planning and implementing goal-centered programs for Service Users, fostering emotional health and dignity.
You will oversee their physical and psychological needs, ensuring a nurturing environment while developing therapeutic relationships. Work hours vary, and your schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop goal-centered programs for individual Service Users
- Ensure needs for food, clothing, and shelter are met
- Assist in emotional and psychological support
- Record daily logs using AIMS software accurately
- Transport Service Users as required Requirements:
- Minimum two years experience with vulnerable populations
- Relevant diploma in Human Services field
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s license
- Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening Support individuals in achieving independence through compassionate care and professionalism.
