How You’ll Make an Impact?

The Residential Support

Worker (Day), under the direction of the Team Lead, Supportive Housing, provides consistent, hands-on, on-site support to residents of Terrace Heights Supportive Housing. The role supports residents with activities of daily living, housing stability, community integration, wellness, and the development of independent living skills while contributing to a safe, welcoming, and supportive residential environment. Working collaboratively with Case Managers and the broader support team, the Residential Support Worker reinforces established care plans and individualized support strategies through day-to-day resident engagement.

Using person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented approaches, the RSW builds positive relationships, promotes resident choice and accountability, responds to emerging needs and crises, supports conflict resolution and de-escalation,



and communicates relevant observations to the team to ensure coordinated and consistent support.

- Provide consistent, hands-on support to residents within the supportive housing environment, promoting housing stability, independence, safety, and overall well-being.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, nutrition, housekeeping, laundry, apartment maintenance, organization, and other practical living skills.
- Develop positive, professional relationships with residents through regular engagement, active listening, encouragement, and consistent presence within the building.
- Implement and reinforce individualized care plans, support strategies, behavioural approaches, and goals established by the Case Manager and broader care team.
- Observe changes in resident behaviour, functioning, wellness, or support needs and communicate relevant observations and concerns to the appropriate team member. What You’ll Bring?
- Degree or diploma in Human Services, Social Work, Community Support, Addictions and Mental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of related experience working in supportive housing, residential services, homelessness services, mental health, addictions, or with individuals experiencing complex barriers.
- Experience providing direct, frontline support with activities of daily living, life-skills development, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and resident engagement is considered an asset.
- Experience working within a trauma-informed,



person-centered, and recovery-oriented environment is considered an asset.
