Restaurant Supervisor

Position Type: Full time

Position Summary Broadway Café & Grill is seeking an experienced, dependable and guest-focused Restaurant Supervisor. This is a hands-on front-of-house position. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently taking care of guests and managing the dining area during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating.
- Present menus, explain menu items and provide recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Serve food and alcoholic beverages professionally and responsibly.
- Check on guests throughout their meals and respond promptly to requests.
- Manage dine-in, takeout and reservation inquiries.
- Process guest payments accurately using the restaurant’s POS system.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen to ensure accurate and timely orders.
- Set up, clean and reset tables before, during and after service.
- Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming dining area.
- Complete opening and closing duties.




- Answer telephone calls and assist with general customer inquiries.
- Monitor dining-room and beverage supplies and inform management when restocking is required.
- Follow Smart Serve, food-safety, health and workplace-safety requirements.
- Provide guests with a consistently friendly and professional dining experience.
- Train new employees on service standards, menu knowledge, POS procedures and restaurant policies.

Qualifications

1. Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field (Mandatory).
2. Valid Ontario Smart Serve Certification is mandatory.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in Canada serving guests in a restaurant.
4. Strong customer-service and communication skills.
