The Duck&Dodo; is looking for an enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our growing Duck&Dodo; community! As a sales associate you will enjoy working with our local small businesses, and our wonderful customer base. The position is equally about creating the perfect Duck&Dodo; experience for our customers, and also day to day administrative tasks that ensure the Duck&Dodo; moves along smoothly.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Ensure our customers have a positive and lasting impression of their experience
- Welcoming, engaging and connecting with our customers in-store, by phone and online
- Learning and educating about makers’ products and sharing your expertise with customers
- Assisting customers locate and select products by making customer specific suggestions to encourage product purchases
- Resolving issues effectively at store level in a timely and positive manner
- Processing point of sale transactions quickly and accurately
- Ensuring the store is visually appealing and contributes to the Duck&Dodo; standards through product presentation, replenishment, store housekeeping,



store maintenance and visual displays
- Responsible for store opening/closing
- Work the vendors in the store to ensure their items are stickered correctly, and payouts are handed out.
- Educating yourself on our products, and small businesses we have in our store
- actively working in our social media platforms, and website product management

Qualifications
- some experience in customer service.
- a passion for design, home decor, antiques
- Experience with the shopify website, and POS platform
- knowledge of the instagram platform would be an asset
- some post secondary schooling in either interior decorating, or fashion merchandising will be an asset
- computer
- skills, with excel, shopify, word
- cash experience an asset

Note

this is a part time job with hours ranging from 10-25 a week

Availability

- weekend availability a must, with flexibility
- available to work both our locations 270 Adelaide st s, and 900 king street
