Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks to pick up, transport, and deliver waste containers to designated disposal sites
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload heavy waste containers, requiring physical strength and proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site personnel, and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure a secure working setting for yourself and others
- Assist with general yard duties as needed,
including container setup and site cleanup
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy trucks or commercial vehicles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly, demonstrating physical strength and endurance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is highly desirable but not required at entry level. DZ is preferred.
- Strong understanding of driving safety procedures and traffic regulations
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
