Role Overview
Supply Ontario is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Leader to plan, coordinate, and deliver initiatives supporting the Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) Program .
This role sits at the intersection of project management, clinical operations, digital health transformation, and change management . The successful candidate will work closely with product teams, clinical leaders, physicians, healthcare organizations, policy teams, regional delivery teams, and vendor partners.
The Senior Project Manager will support large-scale provincial digital health initiatives focused on:
- Clinical workflow modernization
- Clinical documentation efficiency
- Reducing administrative burden and duplication
- Improving clinician experience
- Digital health adoption and continuous improvement
- Effective implementation of workflow and documentation solutions
Must-Have Qualifications
- Strong project management experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of primary care and referral systems across Ontario
- Strong clinical workflow and process improvement knowledge
- Experience with clinical workflows, documentation practices, and administrative burden challenges
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience managing large and complex projects
- Experience working with senior leaders, clinical stakeholders, and external partners
Key Responsibilities Program & Project Management
- Provide program management guidance for large-scale, highly complex, high-profile, and high-risk initiatives.
- Manage centralized groups of projects through the complete project lifecycle.
- Coordinate planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with organizational methodologies, standards, and frameworks.
- Manage program dependencies, risks, issues, and external partnerships.
Clinical Workflow & Digital Health
- Coordinate provincial clinical workflow and documentation transformation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline clinical processes and reduce duplication.
- Support improvements in clinical documentation and clinician experience.
- Apply knowledge of EMRs, clinical documentation solutions, workflow automation, interoperability, and healthcare technology adoption.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clinicians, executives, healthcare organizations, vendors, and external partners.
- Facilitate workshops, discussions, and co-design activities with clinical, digital, and operational stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively across multiple portfolios, teams, and regions.
Change Management & Adoption
- Develop and execute change management strategies to support successful adoption.
- Drive clinical engagement and adoption activities.
- Support sustained use and continuous improvement of implemented solutions.
Governance & Performance Measurement
- Establish and maintain effective program governance structures.
- Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Develop performance measurement and benefits realization frameworks.
- Report progress, outcomes, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Project Management experience, particularly with large and complex initiatives.
- Strong healthcare industry experience and understanding of healthcare systems.
- Strong understanding of Ontario primary care and referral processes.
- Clinical workflow and process improvement experience.
- Digital health transformation experience.
- Change management and adoption experience.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical, clinical, operational, and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience identifying risks, dependencies,
and practical solutions.
- Experience managing relationships across internal and external organizations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Deliverables
- Coordinate and manage provincial clinical workflow and documentation transformation initiatives.
- Drive clinical adoption, change management, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Manage complex program delivery, dependencies, risks, and external partnerships across healthcare stakeholders.
- Develop performance measurement and perks realization frameworks.
- Monitor outcomes and support continuous improvement of digital health solutions.
Engagement Details
- Initial engagement is for 119 Business Days.
- Option to extend for up to an additional 100 Business Days at the Agency's discretion.
- The assignment may also be extended for unused Business Days at the Agency's discretion.
- The resource must comply with all Agency policies and procedures.
- The position is currently Hybrid, with up to 3 days onsite, subject to the Hiring Manager's discretion.
- The Agency will provide a laptop.
- The resource must provide at least one additional monitor, external keyboard, and mouse at their own expense.
- When working from home, the resource must have a private office space and suitable hard-wired internet connectivity.
- If home-office requirements cannot be met, the resource may be required to work full-time onsite.
- Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside Ontario without authorization.
- Agency laptops and related equipment must remain within Ontario unless prior written approval is obtained.
