About Eastern Mobile Sandblasting

Eastern Mobile Sandblasting provides in office abrasive blasting and industrial coating services for clients across Cornwall and the surrounding area. We travel directly to job sites to strip, prep, and refinish equipment, structures, and vehicles — delivering qualified surface preparation and coating work without the need for clients to transport their assets to a shop.

About the Role

We're growing our team and looking for reliable, hands-on Sandblasting and Coating Technicians to join us. You'll travel to client sites to perform abrasive blasting and apply protective or finish coatings to a variety of surfaces and equipment. This is physical, outdoor work that rewards a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

What You'll Do

Perform abrasive (sand) blasting to strip old coatings, rust, and corrosion from metal surfaces, equipment, and structures

Operate mobile blasting equipment, including compressors, blast pots, and nozzles

Select and apply the correct abrasive media for each surface and job

Prepare surfaces for coating, including masking, cleaning, and priming

Apply primers and protective or finish coatings using spray guns and other application equipment

Inspect surfaces before and after blasting/coating to ensure quality and coverage standards are met

Load, transport, and set up equipment safely at each job site

Maintain and perform basic upkeep on blasting/coating equipment and the service vehicle

Follow proper procedures for handling abrasives, coatings, solvents, and other materials

Wear and maintain required PPE,



including respirators, protective suits, and eye/ear protection

Communicate professionally with client staff on-site

Follow all safety protocols, including those for working around large equipment, compressed air systems, and airborne particulates

What We're Looking For

Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions

Reliable and punctual — able to travel to different client sites as scheduled

Valid driver's license (required); clean driving record preferred

Prior experience in sandblasting, spray coating, industrial coatings, auto body work, or similar trades work is an asset, but not required — we're happy to train the right people

Comfortable wearing respiratory protection and working with abrasive materials and coatings

Comfortable working around large equipment and machinery

Team player who takes pride in a job well done

Ability to follow safety guidelines and instructions closely

Can work around Cornwall
