Pay Rate: $90 - $104/hour, depending on experience Contract Length: Until 01/31/2029 Location: Calgary (hybrid)

The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.
Description
Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Lead to drive the design, build, and implementation of SAC Planning and Reporting solutions as part of their broader SAP Plus FP&A; Workstream. This role acts as the bridge between FP&A; business process design and SAC technical implementation, working closely with system integrators, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure planning models, data flows, integrations, and workflows are coherent, scalable, and aligned to how FP&A; operates across budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands‐on SAC Planning expertise combined with strong business and leadership skills, capable of translating complex planning processes into technical solutions while guiding and reviewing work completed by both internal and system integrator resources.
Responsibilities
Partner with FP&A; and Technical stakeholders to translate planning processes and analytical requirements into cohesive SAC Planning solution designs
Work with the System Integrator (SI) on the global design of integrated SAC Planning models, including OM&A;, Projects, Capital, Revenue, and Short-term Planning
Develop user stories and drive key design decisions that support FP&A; business requirements and objectives
Support the design, build, and implementation of end-to-end SAC Planning models to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Collaborate with the systems integrator to validate the design and build of SAC reports, stories,
input templates, and planning dashboards
Work with Data and Technical teams to implement and enforce SAP Analytics Cloud best practices, standards, and design patterns
Provide hands‐on SAC development as needed, while leading and reviewing work completed by SI resources and developers
Support and guide SAC developers, including design direction, quality assurance, and knowledge transfer
Support data migration, SIT/UAT testing, defect resolution, and cutover activities
Support solution deployment and post-go-live stabilization for SAC Planning solutions
Contribute to change management, documentation, and enablement activities to support adoption of SAC Planning
Develop and deliver training to internal resources to build broader SAC Planning knowledge and capabilities
Identify AI use cases and support the design and implementation of AI‐enabled planning capabilities
Qualifications
Proven experience leading SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning implementations in complex enterprise environments
Strong hands‐on experience designing and building SAC Planning models, reports, stories, and dashboards
Deep understanding of SAC Planning functionality, including advanced formulas, allocations, versions, and scenarios
Experience with Seamless Planning
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA and how planning solutions integrate with core SAP finance processes
Experience working with data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and validation in large ERP or planning transformations
Experience working with SAP Datasphere, BW, or equivalent enterprise data platforms is an asset
Understanding of SAP security concepts, roles,
and data access considerations as they relate to SAC Planning
Experience reviewing, redesigning, and enhancing financial planning and business processes
Ability to translate end‐to‐end business planning processes into technical SAC solutions
Proven ability to lead and influence cross‐functional stakeholders across Finance, IT, Data, and external partners
Experience working with and managing System Integrators and external delivery partners
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
Previous experience in Oil & Gas, Energy Infrastructure, or Utilities industries is preferred
Experience working in large, complex transformation programs (ERP and/or Planning implementations)
Experience working in Agile delivery models is an asset
