Eden Japanese Restaurant (DBA: Wasabi Sushi & Teriyaki House) serves Japanese foods in Regina, SK. Currently we are looking for a quality cook to join our restaurant. All applicants that seek a long term employment are welcome; including youth, aboriginals and new immigrants, etc. The hourly wage for this position shall be $ 17.

Duties and responsibilities

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.

Manage kitchen operations.

Inspect kitchens and food service areas.

Clean kitchen and work areas.

Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Order supplies and equipment.

Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.





Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Requirements

A minimum of one year of work experience in cooking.

Rapid-paced environment/Handling heavy loads/Work under pressure/Repetitive tasks/Standing for extended periods/Overtime required/Physically demanding/Attention to detail

Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, and organized

Applicants who can work for at least one year are to be preferred.
