Mercer is seeking an experienced signing Health Actuary to oversee client engagements and deliver actuarial valuation results. You will manage accounting disclosures, provide strategic oversight, and guide junior staff in client management. Your expertise in health perks strategies, including financial projections and plan design changes, will be critical in driving successful outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review junior analyses for actuarial accuracy
- Perform and review complex cost projections
- Draft client reports summarizing valuation results
- Manage daily client interactions and resolve inquiries
- Identify growth opportunities to support business development efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Seven years of experience in actuarial fields
- Progressing toward Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries designation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in demanding environments
