Brief description The position of Senior Bookkeeper / Financial Controller consists of tracking and managing financial data for a mid-size construction company based in Kingston, ON. Their main focus will be on building structure, streamlining processes, and providing coaching, guidance, and leadership to the accounting team of 4.

Hours

- This is an In-Office position with Full Time Hours.

Tasks

- Track, compile, and process Vendor Invoices, Payroll Hours, Employee Information, ACH Payments, WSIB/Revenue Canada Remittances.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data
- Process and complete Payroll, using ACH Direct Deposit & QuickBooks Desktop
- Create, File and Pay WSIB and Payroll Remittances
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable & receivable and profits & loss statements for review by the owner.
- Comply with Federal & Provincial Laws, and Company Policies, Procedures, and Regulations
- Operate computer-based accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Reconcile monthly charge accounts and report discrepancies.

Record and Reconcile Commercial and Residential Rent Payments
- Lead the accounting team, providing coaching and support where necessary
- QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, RBC Express are commonly used

Qualifications and Requirements

- Post Secondary Education in Business or Finance;
- QuickBooks experience required;

Working conditions

- This is a permanent, full time, year-round position;
- Wages will be based on experience.
