Senior IT Project Manager – Technology & Digital Transformation-100% remote-Edmonton/Alberta with occassional meetings Stafingo is hiring for its client in Alberta and is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead multiple high-priority technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives. This is an excellent prospect for a senior PM with experience delivering complex IT transformations, application modernization, system integrations, cybersecurity initiatives, regulatory projects, and enterprise technology implementations.

Position

Details - Role: Senior IT Project Manager

- Location: Remote within Canada
- Onsite: Travel to Edmonton for meetings, up to 15% of the contract
- Contract: October 5, 2026 – September 30, 2027
- Extension: Up to 12 months
- Pay: $95/hr T4 – $115/hr INC
- Submission Deadline: September 17th @ EOD
- Resume + 3 references required Key Responsibilities - Lead complex IT projects from initiation through implementation and post-delivery.
- Develop project charters, plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, governance structures and delivery strategies.
- Lead requirements gathering, solution planning, business process analysis and IT solution delivery.
- Manage multiple projects, resources, vendors, dependencies, risks, issues and project governance activities.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and collaborate with business and IT leadership, technical teams, vendors and project sponsors.
- Develop recommendations addressing resources, dependencies, risks, policy implications, benefits and delivery methodologies.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, actual expenditures, milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare executive-level status reports, presentations and project documentation for steering committees and senior leadership.
- Lead risk and impact assessments and develop mitigation and contingency strategies.




- Support change management, communications, business readiness and organizational adoption activities.
- Ensure project deliverables align with enterprise architecture, PMO standards, security requirements and business objectives.
- Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a senior IT Project Manager with:

- 10+ years of project management experience, preferably across complex technology transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects or a technology portfolio.
- Strong experience with application modernization, system migrations, cloud platforms, integrations and enterprise applications.
- Experience delivering projects involving business requirements, solution design, data migration, testing, UAT and go-live.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, budgeting, resource planning and stakeholder management.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and executive presentation skills.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and senior leadership.
- Experience supporting regulatory, cybersecurity or compliance-driven technology initiatives is highly valued.
- Public-sector or government experience is an asset.
