Senior Manager, Operations – Lead Operational Excellence Across Wholesale & Logistics Are you a senior operations leader who thrives in complex, high-volume environments? We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Operations to lead and scale multi-site, multi-business unit operations across BioScript’s national distribution platform, including A&D; Wholesale and BioScript Logistics. This role will drive operational excellence across specialty drug distribution, medical device logistics, patient support programs, and third‑party logistics (3PL) services.

Your Mission: Lead the operational execution, performance management, and continuous improvement of BioScript’s national distribution platform. You will be accountable for safety, quality, service, cost, and people outcomes while partnering with Wholesale Leadership, Quality, Finance, Technology, and Commercial teams to build a compliant, scalable,
high‑performance operating model that supports BioScript’s growth strategy.
- Provide senior operational leadership across specialty pharmaceuticals, medical devices, patient support programs, and 3PL distribution.
- Own end‑to‑end operational performance including safety, quality, service levels, productivity, and cost‑to‑serve.
- Translate strategic objectives into executable operating plans, capacity models, and performance targets.
- Lead and develop Operations Supervisors and frontline leadership teams across multiple sites or functional areas.
- Establish performance management routines including daily management, weekly business reviews, KPI dashboards, and root‑cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement focused on productivity, scalability, labor optimization, and workflow standardization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and contractual obligations including GDP, GMP, Health Canada, and customer‑specific requirements.
- Partner with Quality and Compliance teams on SOP adherence, audit readiness, deviation management, and CAPA execution.
- Oversee labor planning, workforce scheduling, and resource allocation to support variable demand and growth.
- Lead cross‑functional problem solving related to inventory management, fulfillment accuracy, service failures, and capacity constraints.
- Support operational readiness for new product launches, manufacturer onboarding, clinic expansion, and new program implementations.
- Collaborate with Technology teams on ERP, WMS, and system enhancements to improve visibility, automation, and data integrity.
- Contribute to network‑level planning including capacity expansion, warehouse layout optimization, and long‑term scalability initiatives.
- Manage operational risks, identify failure points, and implement mitigation strategies across all business lines.
- Support financial planning through budget ownership, cost tracking, productivity modeling, and variance analysis.
- Champion a culture of ownership, accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and inclusive high performance.
What You Bring to the Table: Education - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience - Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is strongly preferred; PMP or equivalent project management training is an asset.
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or distribution, including a minimum of 5+ years in people leadership roles managing frontline leaders.
Skills - Experience operating within complex, high‑volume fulfillment or distribution environments and leading multi‑workflow or multi‑business operations under one operating structure.
- Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical devices is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to scale operations, improve productivity, and manage change in growth environments.
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations, fulfillment flows, inventory management, and labor planning.
- Advanced analytical capability with experience interpreting KPIs, cost drivers, and productivity metrics.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and WMS platforms and structured problem‑solving using data, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
- Excellent communication, influencing, organizational, and people‑development skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast‑paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments
