Peace River Logging is hiring a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead logging operations alongside our Superintendent and Logging Leads and keep our sides running: people, equipment, maintenance, safety, and production. This is a hands-on field leadership role. If you have run mechanized harvesting crews and know what an hour of downtime costs, we want to talk to you.

About Peace River Logging

- A joint venture between the Woodland Cree First Nation and Mercer, operating since 2004 and creating economic opportunities for Indigenous people and the communities of Northwest Alberta.
- About 600,000 m3 a year. Full-service harvesting: bunching, skidding, processing, loading, hauling, road construction, and road maintenance, primarily for Mercer Peace River Pulp, Boucher Bros, and West Fraser.
- About 85 employees and contractors at peak winter operations.
- Newer, well-maintained Tigercat fleet.
- Rolling 12-month TRIR of 0.00. COR certified through the Alberta Forest Products Association.

- Based at Three Creeks, near Peace River, Alberta.

What You Will Do

- Work with the Superintendent and Logging Leads to coordinate daily field operations across our operating areas.
- Oversee harvesting activities including bunching, skidding, processing, loading, hauling, and road work.
- Monitor production, equipment utilization, wood quality, and overall operational performance.




- Move people, contractors, equipment, and resources between operating areas to keep production on plan.
- Identify bottlenecks and help with operational planning and scheduling.
- Work with mechanics and field leadership to prioritize repairs, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response.
- Track equipment downtime and flag when more mechanics, parts, service capacity, or support equipment are needed.
- Support contractor performance, manpower coordination, and field-level problem solving.
- Maintain a strong field presence. Keep operations protected and environmentally compliant.
- Keep PRLLP management informed on production, maintenance, staffing, and safety.
- Lead, support, and mentor Logging Leads and field personnel.

What You Bring

- 7+ years in logging or forestry operations.
- Previous experience as a Logging Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Foreman, Lead Hand, or similar field leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanized harvesting equipment and logging operations.
- Practical understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and what downtime does to production.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews, contractors, and operating areas at once.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.




- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract, and the ability to travel to remote operating areas.
- RPFT or RPF designation is an asset.

- Room to grow as the operation grows. You will work directly with the Superintendent and General Manager, and your work will be seen.
