Senior Oracle Cloud Absence Lead to support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management.
Job Type: Contract Positions to fill: 1 Start Date: Sep 21, 2026 Job End Date: Sep 30, 2027 Pay Rate: Hourly: Negotiable Job ID: 154928 Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Absence Lead to support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management. The successful candidate will bring strong functional expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud, with a particular focus on Absence Management, and will be responsible for leading solution design, configuration, testing, integration, and deployment activities. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the solution meets business requirements and integrates effectively with Payroll and Time & Labor.
Work Mode : 100% Remote, with minimum travel Contract Duration : 1 year Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management.
- Configure and maintain absence plans, absence types, eligibility profiles, accrual rules, carryover rules, validations, and workflows.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering and solution-design sessions with business and project stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements and policies into scalable Oracle Cloud HCM solutions.
- Configure complex accrual calculations and absence eligibility requirements.
- Support integration between Absence Management and Oracle Payroll, Time & Labor, and other HCM modules.
- Identify and resolve functional and configuration issues throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Support data conversion, integrations, reporting, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop functional specifications and configuration documentation.
- Lead or support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, and post-production support.
- Provide functional guidance, knowledge transfer, and best practices to project and client teams. Must Haves - 6–10+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Absence Management experience.
- At least one full end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation, with significant responsibility for Absence Management.
- Robust hands-on experience configuring:
- Absence plans and types - Eligibility profiles - Accruals and balances - Carryover and ceiling rules - Validations and approvals/workflows - Strong understanding of integration between Absence Management, Payroll, and Time & Labor.
- Experience with Oracle HCM reporting, integrations, testing, and data migration activities.
- Ability to lead requirements and design discussions with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment. Nice to haves - Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM: Absence Management certification for a current release.
- Previous experience delivering Oracle Cloud HCM solutions within government or public-sector environments.
- Experience working with complex unionized environments, collective agreements, or public-sector leave and absence policies is considered an asset.
