Senior Python/SQL Engineer (10+ years) to support the migration of Risk Division applications and reporting assets using Snowflake and Azure Cloud

Join a migration initiative focused on transitioning business-critical risk applications, dashboards, and data dependencies from Oracle-based solutions to Snowflake and Azure Cloud platforms. This role supports application repointing, SQL conversion, dashboard migration, and testing activities across multiple Risk teams. The position works closely with Risk and Technology stakeholders to ensure continuity of reporting processes and data workflows during migration activities.

Must Haves

10+ years of

Software Development , database development, or data engineering experience

Hands-on development with

Python ,

SQL , and

C#

Oracle databases including Oracle SQL, stored procedures, and database-driven applications

Snowflake

SQL development, connectivity, query optimization, and migration from legacy databases

Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics,



Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative or technical discipline

Nice to Have

Experience with Julia

Power BI dashboard development, migration, or data source repointing

Financial industry experience

Capital markets or risk management experience

Responsibilities

Repoint Risk Division applications, processes, and reporting assets from Oracle and SQL databases to Snowflake

Analyze and update C#, Julia, and Python applications dependent on Oracle tables, Oracle SQL, and Oracle stored procedures

Convert Oracle SQL and stored procedure logic to support Snowflake-based workflows

Support migration of Power BI dashboards and reports from Oracle-based data sources to Snowflake

Validate migrated applications, reports, and processes through testing, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Document migration approaches, technical changes, testing results, known issues, and operational handover procedures

Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers with Risk and Technology stakeholders
