Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior Security Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex security systems across various client sites. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of reliable security solutions that meet our clients’ unique needs while demonstrating technical excellence and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarms, sensors, and low voltage wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and construction plans to execute precise installations.
- Conduct system testing to ensure optimal performance of components like IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, telecommunication lines, and network infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on alarm panels, access control panels, camera systems and more.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan installation timelines and coordinate onsite activities efficiently.




- Document all work performed through detailed reports and update system schematics as needed for future reference.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance procedures.

Skills

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to security systems.
- Strong construction experience with knowledge of electrical wiring and mechanical installation techniques.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup, networking principles, and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Electrical experience with low voltage systems including sensors, alarms, and power supplies.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and related security technologies.
- Ability to program DSC, Honeywell, ICT, Avigilon and Axis Alarm, Cameras and Access control.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installations or repairs.
- Knowledge of schematics for system integration across multiple platforms; ability to troubleshoot network issues as they arise.
