By embedding AI directly into workflows and providing a self-service platform, they automate rule writing, reduce errors, and accelerate onboarding for hundreds of trading partners. Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design, delivery, and reliability of complex platform components. In this role, you will lead solution architectures, solve critical technical challenges, and maintain quality standards by directing AI coding agents and rigorously reviewing output. You will partner with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and leverage deep engineering fundamentals to shape the company's long-term technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical design and execution of key product features and initiatives, authoring technical designs for major projects while planning for performance, scale, and system reliability.
- Turn complex requirements into clear specifications for AI coding agents, integrate and refine their output, and continuously improve agentic workflows and context systems.
- Maintain system quality and performance by establishing rigorous testing, validation,



and evaluation processes, performing root-cause analysis on complex bugs, and analyzing metrics for process improvement.
- Communicate technical concepts and requirements clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, mentor engineers on AI tooling and technical skills, and align strategic roadmaps with product priorities.
- Operate autonomously to prioritize work, manage risk, and lead end-to-end implementation for epic-sized software projects from planning to deployment.
- Experiment with modern models, agents, and engineering workflows, sharing actionable patterns and practices to level up the team.

Qualifications

- 5 to 15 years of experience in backend-heavy, product-minded software engineering.
- Background working at a growth-stage company (ideally Series C+ or Series A/B with strong enterprise traction).
- Expert knowledge of Node.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Proven hands-on experience building with AI coding agents and responsibly reviewing and shipping their output.
- Solid experience with distributed systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Proficiency with both relational and non-relational databases, as well as API and microservices development.
- Background building on high-scale, data-heavy platforms (EDI experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of software testing, CI/CD, and documentation best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a product-driven approach.

Nice to have

: NestJS, Nx, AWS, MCP/agent tooling, authentication/authorization systems (SSO, OAuth, RBAC), agentic workflows, or EDI experience.
