This position is for Daytime only and primarily Mondays to Fridays. Some weekends and holidays may be required. We require an availability of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server for Bluestone Cottage to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food service while delivering outstanding customer care.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems (Pixel Point)
- Prepare Barista beverages such as Cappuccinos, Lattes, Espressos, Smoothies
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage guest inquiries professionally,
providing excellent guest services and hospitality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant workplace as a server is required
- Knowledge of POS systems is required. We use Pixel Point
- Knowledge of OpenTable is an asset
- Knowledge of working with Skip the Dishes is an asset
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Experience with food industry practices, including serving, food safety, and food handling is desirable
- Candidates must be available daytime and must be available weekends and holidays as required
