Key Responsibilities
- Main switchboard operator for the Lloydminster and Vermilion Student Services offices
- Main frontline support and general office coverage for peek work times, vacation and sick leave
- Processing financial transactions, assisting students with account inquiries, issuing receipts, opening/closing of the cash office
- Providing excellent customer service for our students, staff and the general public in person, by email and over the phone
- Resetting student passwords
- Issuing Student and Staff ID cards
- Monitoring email and voicemail inboxes
- Processing of the daily mail, shredding and other general office tasks
- Issuing various letters and completing various forms
- Providing additional support to the many teams and office functions within Student Services as needed
Job Requirements
- One-year post-secondary certificate in a related field
- Three years’ office experience
- High standard of professionalism
- Strong customer service with an engaging, empathetic and positive attitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Problem solving
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft (word, excel, outlook, teams)
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft would be an asset
- Flexible and able to increase or decrease hours with short notice
- Ability to work in an open workplace and in a team setting but also ability to work independently
Additional Information
This is a Casual AUPE appointment with an average of 17.5 hours per week (mainly 1-4:30 pm) and a maximum of 36.25 hours per week at the Lloydminster campus commencing as soon as possible. The ideal candidate would be someone who is looking for part-time work but has flexibility to work full-time hours as well as being called in with short notice.
