Existing Vacancy: Yes Description: Course Number and Title: ENV200H1S Assessing Global Change: Science and the Environment Course Description: The perspective which scientists bring to the understanding and resolution of environmental concerns having global implications: atmospheric systems and climate change, the biosphere and conservation of biodiversity. Estimated TA Support:784 hours Class Schedule: Tuesdays 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Sessional Dates of Appointment: January 1, 2027 - April 30, 2027 Please note that should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the Collective Agreement shall prevail.

Minimum Qualifications

- PhD in relevant area of study or equivalent professional and/or academic experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant academic or professional publications and previous experience teaching a similar large undergraduate course are highly desirable.

Description of Duties

- Develop a detailed syllabus and curriculum for the course
- Teach the course in an in-person format
- Hold office hours and meet with students as they request
- Manage a team of teaching assistants
- Work with the Writing-Integrated Teaching Lead Teaching Assistant
