Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Shipper/Receiver to support our Plant Operations team. This position is responsible for the safe and productive movement of raw materials, parts, supplies, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the plant, as well as coordinating shipping and receiving activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Transportation to ensure materials are received, stored, tracked, and delivered to the appropriate areas on time.
A valid forklift license is required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts, supplies, raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Determine efficient shipping methods and prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping documents, and other required paperwork.
- Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming goods against shipping and receiving documents.
- Process customer returns, inspect for damage, and verify items against RMA documentation.
- Safely load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles.
- Unpack, label, code, and route materials to designated storage or production areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory, storage, and material movement records using manual and computerized systems.
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Move and supply materials to production areas and transport finished goods within the plant.
- Prepare routes and organize shipments/pickups for truck drivers.
- Pick, verify, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all plant safety and operating procedures.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience with a focus on shipping & receiving operations is preferred
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment is highly desirable; certification is a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, including order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload procedures
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment. You should be able to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively with production and logistics teams, and ensure materials move efficiently throughout the plant. Experience in plant operations, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or forklift operations will be considered an asset.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
