Shipping & Print Store Associate

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at a busy shipping and business-services store in Ottawa.

This is a hands-on position where you will assist customers with shipping, packaging, printing, passport photos, mailbox rentals, shredding, and other store services. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with customers, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Process and prepare shipments through UPS and DHL
- Pack and prepare customer items for shipping
- Assist customers with shipping options, rates, and procedures
- Take and process passport/ID photos according to required specifications
- Manage private mailbox rentals, customer pickups, and related services
- Provide document printing, copying, scanning, and other print services
- Operate and maintain shredding services
- Receive and organize incoming packages and mail
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well stocked
- Handle cash, debit/credit transactions, and daily store procedures
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Follow shipping, identification, privacy, and store security procedures




- Perform other general store duties as required

Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable using computers, printers, scanners, and other office equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy setting
- Comfortable lifting and moving packages
- Previous experience in shipping, retail, customer service, printing, or a similar environment is an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Bilingual English/French is an asset
- Previous UPS Store, DHL, or shipping experience is an asset
