About the Position

We are seeking an experienced heavy-duty mechanic who is ready to step into a key leadership position as our shop foreperson. This is a working leadership role responsible for ensuring our equipment is maintained safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the shop team

- Prioritize repairs and maintenance to maximize fleet uptime

- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment

- Support and mentor mechanics and apprentices

- Ensure all repairs meet safety, regulatory, and company standards

- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and service schedules

- Manage shop equipment, tools, parts inventory, and resources

- Provide field service and emergency repair support when required

- Promote a strong safety culture through leadership and accountability

- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and compliance records

- Review work orders, estimates, and repair documentation

- Work closely with suppliers,



manufacturers, and service partners

Qualifications

- Journeyperson heavy-duty equipment technician certification

- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills

- Experience working on heavy trucks, trailers, and construction equipment

- Previous leadership, foreperson, or lead-hand experience is considered an asset

- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities

- Commitment to safety and professionalism

- Valid driver's license
