Cookie Couture is a boutique retail and online shop specializing in cookie, cake and confectionery decorating supplies. We are looking for a friendly, dependable and motivated Shop Associate to join our team.
The Shop Associate supports the day-to-day operation of our retail storefront and online shop while reporting to the Shop Manager. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys helping customers, takes pride in staying organized and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
Duties
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
- Help customers find products and answer questions in person and over the phone.
- Accurately process in-store purchases.
- Prepare and package online orders for shipping.
- Update online inventory to reflect in-store sales.
- Restock merchandise and maintain attractive, organized product displays.
- Update product pricing, labels and signage as needed.
- Complete special tasks and projects as directed.
- Keep the shop clean and presentable, including dusting and disposing of garbage and recycling.
Qualifications
- Provides warm and attentive customer service.
- Is dependable,
punctual and comfortable working independently.
- Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Is willing to learn about our products and the cookie and cake decorating industry.
- Works well as part of a small, collaborative team.
- Is comfortable using a point-of-sale system and completing basic computer tasks.
- Retail, customer service or baking and decorating experience is an asset but not required.
Saturday availability is required. In addition to Saturdays from 10am-4pm, we also can offer flexible, additional weekday daytime hours. Additional hours, special projects and increased summer hours will be available depending on business needs and the successful candidate’s availability.
