Job Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Shop Laborer to support daily operations in our manufacturing shop. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and supporting a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate forklift to unload and move large steel components
- Support mechanics, welders, and fabricators with shop production
- Build stock assemblies and assist with general shop tasks
- Perform shop cleanup, sweeping, garbage removal, and general upkeep
- Pick up and deliver parts around Calgary
- Assist with overhead crane operations
- Complete small maintenance, repairs, and adjustments
- Perform basic mechanical tasks as required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Qualifications
- Forklift certification with confident experience handling large steel loads
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and insurability is a must
- Shop, yard, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred
- Overhead crane ticket is an asset




- Solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Future apprentice capability and interest in developing skilled trades experience

Pay: $21.00 per hour
