As a Showroom Consultant, you will play a key role in welcoming customers into a space that feels both elevated and approachable, helping them bring their vision to life with clarity and confidence.

This is a dynamic, customer-facing role for someone who combines a strong sense of design with a thoughtful, consultative approach to sales. You will guide homeowners and industry professionals through product selection and project planning, offering tailored recommendations that reflect both style and function while aligning with project goals.

From the first conversation through to final selections, you will create a seamless and engaging experience that feels considered, well-supported, and professionally executed. By building lasting relationships and delivering knowledgeable, attentive service, you will help shape a showroom workplace that reflects quality, trust, and a genuine commitment to the customer.

Core Responsibilities:

Showroom Design Consultations:

- Schedule and lead client appointments for residential and commercial projects
- Guide customers, contractors, designers, and architects through product selection decisions
- Recommend tile, LVP, and complementary materials that align with both design intent and project requirements
- Provide accurate, timely pricing and product availability information
- Recommend complete product solutions to support project success and maximize value
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Conduct thoughtful and timely follow-up to move projects forward and close sales

Customer Experience and Sales Support:

- Deliver a high-quality, consultative showroom experience that feels welcoming and well-supported
- Understand customer needs through effective questioning and active listening
- Present product features, benefits, and applications in a clear and relevant way
- Provide samples and resources that help customers make confident, informed decisions
- Partner with inside and outside sales teams to support customer projects from inquiry to completion
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and opportunities

Technical and Product Expertise:

- Interpret blueprints and project specifications to ensure product suitability and compatibility
- Provide practical guidance on materials, applications, and installation considerations
- Maintain current knowledge of product lines, design trends, and industry best practices

Showroom Operations and Merchandising:

- Maintain a clean, organized,



and visually compelling showroom environment
- Support the execution of display updates and merchandising changes
- Manage showroom samples and materials to ensure availability and presentation standards
- Support order desk activities as needed, including phone inquiries and order entry
- Assist with in-showroom events and promotional initiatives

Qualifications:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in a showroom, retail sales, or customer-facing role, preferably within flooring, building materials, or interior-related products
- Demonstrated experience in consultative sales, supporting customers through product selection and purchase decisions
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships in a professional sales environment
- Experience working with contractors, designers, or trade professionals is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or project specifications is an asset
- Proficiency with computer systems for quoting, order entry, and customer tracking (ERP or CRM experience is an asset)

- Strong client service skills with a consultative and solutions-oriented approach
- Design awareness with the ability to coordinate materials, colours, and finishes effectively
- Clear and professional communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams
- Results-oriented with the ability to guide customers toward decisions and support sales conversion
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in quotes, orders, and customer information
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and customer follow-ups effectively
- Collaborative team player who works well across sales and operations functions
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and follow through on customer needs

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements outlined below are representative of those needed to perform the essential duties of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods within the showroom environment
- Frequent use of hands for handling product samples, materials, and customer presentations
- Occasional lifting and carrying of samples and materials up to 25 lbs
- Ability to reach, bend, and move items to support showroom displays and merchandising




- Ability to remain seated and use a computer and phone for extended periods when completing administrative tasks, quoting, and order entry
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing retail showroom environment with regular movement between consultation areas

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
