Bring your mechanical expertise to the City of Woodstock as a Licensed Mechanic. This full-time, permanent role emphasizes diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance of various city vehicles. This position reports to the Fleet Services Manager and requires a valid 310T or 310S license.
Key skills include heavy equipment repairs, OEM software proficiency, and a thorough understanding of hydraulic systems. You will ensure city vehicles are operational and safe while adhering to the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair the city’s fleet of vehicles
- Diagnose issues using manufacturer software
- Perform mechanical repairs including brakes and engines
- Conduct safety inspections per Ministry guidelines
- Document work orders accurately for tracking Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED required
- Valid 310T and 310S licenses in good standing
- Experience with heavy equipment preferred
- DZ driver’s license in positive standing
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads and work in various conditions Utilize your mechanical skills to support the city of Woodstock's fleet effectively.
