Position Summary

Snowplow Operators are responsible for operating compact tractors equipped with snowplows to ensure the safety and accessibility of large commercial properties during winter snow and ice events. This seasonal role requires experience with snow equipment, physical endurance, and a commitment to safety and responsiveness during winter conditions.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate large tractors and front end loaders with snowplow attachments to clear snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots, and around buildings.

· Conduct equipment inspections before and after use to ensure safety and functionality.

· Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow events as directed by the manager.

· Report on equipment issues and concerns to the manager.

· Follow all safety protocols and OHSA standards.

· Perform other duties as assigned to meet changing business demands.

Qualifications

· A minimum Class “A” Restricted (AR) is required for the position with a “DZ” license considered an asset and a clean drivers abstract.

· Experience operating snowplows and tractors.

· Ability to work flexible schedule during snow events.

· Physically fit and comfortable working in cold, snowy conditions.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Reliable transportation to and from the work site.





Working Conditions

· Seasonal, on-call basis during snow events.

· Work may occur during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Outdoor work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.

· PPE and safety training will be provided.

Performance Indicators

· Timeliness and responsiveness during snow events.

· Safe and effective operation of snow equipment.

· Compliance with safety standards and protocols.

· Communication and coordination with the Operations Manager.

· Condition and maintenance of assigned equipment.

The base rate for this position is $26/hour, plus a $5/hour Winter premium. We are looking for qualified, motivated, and dedicated employees to join our team!!
