Role:

This is a consulting role inside a logistics business, not an account management or warehouse operations role. You'll spend your time analyzing how a merchant's inventory and ordering behaviour drives their total landed cost, then building the business case for change and presenting it directly to the customer.

Most beverage-alcohol merchants in Ontario are carrying real costs they've never actually quantified: capital tied up in slow-moving SKUs, pack sizes that quietly inflate the cost of every pick and ship, order patterns that generate small, expensive drops, code-date exposure on aging inventory, and delist risk driven by service issues no one's tracking. Your job is to put hard numbers on those problems and tell merchants exactly what to do about them.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading cost diagnostic engagements on named merchant accounts, covering SKU velocity and rationalization, pack configuration, order pattern and drop-size economics, inventory turns and carrying cost, code-date and obsolescence exposure, and service-driven delist risk.
- Building and presenting the customer-facing case yourself.
- Partnering with the Account Manager or Partnership Manager on joint account planning, so identified savings convert into commercial commitment.
- Advising on demand and inventory planning, including reorder point and safety stock recommendations,



for merchants without their own planning capability.
- Modelling channel cost to serve across LCBO wholesale, grocery, convenience, and licensee, and pinpointing where a merchant's assumptions don't hold up.
- Developing benchmarks across the merchant base so each successive diagnostic gets faster and better evidenced.
- Verifying claimed savings after implementation.

- Verified annualized savings delivered to merchants.
- Savings converted into commercial commitment — this is the compensated metric.
- Diagnostic engagements completed against the quarterly target list.
- A strong win rate on competitive pursuits where a diagnostic was part of the pitch.
- Retention on diagnostic accounts that beats book average.

What we are looking for:

- 5+ years in supply chain, distribution, or 3PL, with some analytical or consulting exposure.
- Comfortable building the analysis yourself — data extraction, inventory and cost modelling, scenario comparison.
- Credibility with an operations or finance lead — your numbers need to hold up when they're tested.
- A solid grasp of inventory economics: carrying cost, turns, obsolescence, and service-level trade-offs.
- Beverage-alcohol or regulated CPG experience is strongly preferred, given the regulatory constraints that shape what a merchant can and can't change.
- ERP and BI capability; experience with Acumatica is an asset.
- English required; French is an asset.
