The Career and Technical Education Instructional Specialist will provide leadership in curriculum development, instruction, and delivery of services to CTE teachers.
Qualifications: Education/Certification
- Master's Degree preferred with valid Texas teaching certificate Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of academic subject(s) assigned - Knowledge and ability to work with CTE students and teachers - Knowledge of state and federal laws concerning CTE - Excellent public relations skills - Knowledge of CTE programs of study, workforce data, industry and occupational opportunities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with teachers and administrators.
- Knowledge of data collection and evaluation processes for improving student achievement.
- Knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional practices.
- Ability to select, develop,
and/or model effective instructional interventions.
- Skill in designing, modifying and implementing innovative instructional practices to meet the needs of all students.
- Skilled in working with computer tools and standard office software programs.
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms - Ability to develop relationships and maintain consistent contact with students, parents, and colleagues - General knowledge of curriculum and instruction - Robust organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years CTE teaching experience CTE preferred - Experience in curriculum development - Experience working with student leadership organizations
