Responsibilities

- Provide engaging, neuroaffirming, and play-based Speech and Language therapy services to children with a variety of developmental needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to support each child’s progress.
- Use creative and innovative therapy techniques to support speech, language, communication, and social communication development.




- Educate families and provide strategies for continued success at home and school.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to ensure the highest level of care.
- Supervision and support for SLPAs (Speech Therapy Assistants)

Skills
- A registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience or a strong passion for working with children. Must be in good standing with ACSLPA.
- Robust skills in speech sound development, language development, social communication and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
- Ability to provide evidence-informed, individualized, and family-centred assessment and intervention.
- Strong communication, documentation, consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuing education, and professional development.

Additional Assets ✨ Experience supporting children and families with a variety of speech, language, communication, AAC, and feeding needs

✨ Experience providing neuroaffirming support to neurodivergent clients

✨ Bilingual skills, language diversity is a strength.
