The Canadian National Institute of Health (CNIH), an accredited private dental hygiene college located in Ottawa, is seeking a Sterilization Centre Technician to support its Dental Hygiene Clinic by performing medical device reprocessing in accordance with established standards.

Required Qualifications:

- Medical device reprocessing certificate from an accredited college or Certified Level II Dental Assistant member of ODAA or Registered Dental Hygienist member of CDHO
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Saving), Standard First Aid, WHMIS, and OSHA (Worker Health and Safety Awareness)
- Working knowledge of reprocessing standards for medical equipment and quality assurance maintenance
- Strong attention to detail is critical for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of sterilization processes
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written,



are significant for collaborating with other healthcare professionals and documenting procedures accurately The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional abilities to perform the essential functions of the position:

· Ability to establish and work cooperatively within a team

· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students, instructors, coordinators, program director and administration

· Ability to work independently and uphold the policies and protocols of the college at all times

· Cleaning, disinfecting, packaging, and sterilizing dental instruments

· Monitoring sterilization cycles and maintaining logs

· Performing biological, chemical, and mechanical testing

· Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the Sterilization Centre

· Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or breaches in protocol

· Supporting clinic flow by ensuring timely instrument turnaround

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
