SUMMARY GIP is seeking an experienced Senior Planner/Scheduler to support a portfolio of major highway and bridge construction projects across Ontario. Reporting to the Director, Planning, you will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and analyzing multiple schedules active projects at any given time and serve as a trusted planning advisor to project management and operations teams.

This position is ideal for a planner who is confident working independently, enjoys collaborating with operations teams, and can provide practical scheduling solutions in a fast-paced construction environment.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

- Develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Support projects from tender through construction and project closeout.
- Analyze project schedules, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Monitor critical path activities, schedule performance, and forecast completion dates.
- Review subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and estimating teams to develop realistic construction plans and sequencing.
- Prepare schedule updates, forecasts, and progress reporting for project teams and senior leadership.
- Support schedule impact assessments, recovery planning, and change management initiatives.
- Contribute to planning best practices and mentor junior scheduling staff when required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years of planning and scheduling experience in heavy civil, transportation, or infrastructure construction.
- Experience delivering highway, bridge, or major civil construction projects.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, construction sequencing, resource planning, and schedule analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Valid G driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Ontario.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Expected Base Salary:



$85 000 - $115 000 per year.
- The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
